A non-canon, member-driven, au post-Potter game that strives to create an rich IC environment.

RVLT is a non-canon, member-driven, au post-Potter game that strives to create an environment rich in character development and community. RVLT is an HPRPG that offers a unique experience in the Wizarding World we've all come to know and love- though canon lore is acknowledged up to the Battle at Hogwarts not a single canon from the books are currently present; we've removed all traces of them in order to provide room for original characters lore.

Revolt (often shorted to RVLT) is an alternate universe post-Potter Harry Potter roleplay game hosted on Jcink. While we adhere to no strict timeline, we consider ourselves present day with the book's storyline having occurred far enough in the past that its happenings are found in history books and have no immediate bearing on our plot. Canon is acknowledged up to the Battle at Hogwarts, and Voldemort's reign of terror to his defeat at the hands of Harry Potter are pivotal points in magical history, but following 1998 the story is ours. We have removed all trace of canon characters from our world to make room for original characters, original stories, and original lore.

Essentially, we aim to take the familiarity and traditions of the Wizarding World, specifically the everyday life at Hogwarts, and expand it with our own words. While RVLT identifies as a Harry Potter roleplay we aspire to be much more than that, offering a unique experience within the halls of Hogwarts that we've all come to know and love.

The main notable difference in the canon is our adjustments to the school environment. We've simplified 'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry' to Hogwarts School of Magic. The school has opened its doors to a multitude of magical beings ranging from RVLT originals like Dragonkin and Fae, to species you think you know such as Veela, Werewolves, Vampires, and Centaur, the latter being heavily modified. Knockturn Alley, in light of the fall of Voldemort twenty years ago, has become an extension of Diagon Alley, its shops and businesses now run by the many species whose children are now welcome into Hogwarts and the Wizarding World at large.

We're sure you'll soon notice the use of 'Wix' and 'Wixen' around the site - this word is meant as a gender neutral term for what the Harry Potter series refers to as witches and wizards. From our research, it is a term coined by magicqueers on tumblr years back and we are using it here to better serve the community. Witch, wizard, and wix are all valid descriptors of non-creature students.

Soft opening from September 26th - October 1st.
