About

Cavus existed in a constant state of strife between Mortals, Birthless, and The Vagary. Battles were fought using the energies that existed before the creation of the world, and In this war, the world was covered in destruction, decay, and null magic. The God of Balance ‘Elise’ used all of the known magic in the world to defeat a threat to Mortals and Birthless alike. She did it with the hope that it would end all wars once and for all. Instead, it nearly stripped the world of magic, banishing Gods, and Birthless for over 1000 years.

Mortals lived in hatred of one another over those years, warring over resources, pride, and ideologies, and in their hatred they gave birth to the God Eater, and it gave creation to the Vagary. The Vagary battled with mortals in an attempt to conquer them all. The God Eater nearly ruled over all mortals thanks to his creation, but the mortals came together and begged the last known Birthless of the world to grant godhood to a savior, a restorer of magic. Their wish was granted, and magic was returned to the world. Mortals drove the God Eater back into the abyss and reclaimed their lands and freedom.

A century has passed since the defeat of the God Eater, and the stories of battles between gods have faded away into legend and folklore. The world once again finds itself teetering on the edges of war between mortals. Vagary continue to rise from the abyss to bring calamity to all. The cries of the weak go unanswered, and where magic was once abundant for all mortals only half wield it today.

We are a Dragon Ball centric, stat-based roleplay which focused on the feeling of 'adventure' over being purely focused on battles, and which focuses on Earth rather than Earth and space at large. We've got a large variety of races to choose from, including Namekians, Saiyans, and the like, and a very welcoming, helpful, and friendly community.

DRAGON BALL: BROKEN DESTINY

Before there were Super Dragon Balls. Before the multiverse. Before the cosmos was the backdrop for the adventures of Goku and gang, there was a single planet, swarming with adventure. Earth. And before Radditz and the Saiyans brought their brand of evil and announced the existence of the Dragon Balls to the universe, there were myriad of stories, enemies, zany mix ups, victories, losses, humor, and unexplored potential. Where the final battle wasn't the purpose of the story, but the journey was, that's where you'll find Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny.

When the Evil King Piccolo tried to take over the world, Muten Roshi sealed him away in a bottle, preventing his evil reign. But what if he didn't? In a world where the Evil Containment Wave failed, and King Piccolo and Master Roshi were mortally wounded, Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny explores what happens in the cracks that became from a world whose story was told differently. What happens when Piccolo Jr. steals a young Gohan, and Radditz saves the day by aiding his brother? What happens when every lost Saiyan was united by a wish on Shenron, no longer lost, scattered, alone, or enslaved? What happens when Kami decides, for the betterment of the universe, that the Dragon Balls should no longer exist? What happens when he makes that decision anyway? The rails of destiny have been destroyed. We live in a time of Broken Destiny.

Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny is a semi-literate Role Playing Game which focuses on the Earth and the factions which struggle to control it in the time 400 years after the failed sealing of Piccolo Daimao. You can play anything from your everyday average Earthling who wants to be the greatest martial artist, to a child of Piccolo Daimao, to a descendant of the great warrior race, the Saiyans or a technologically powerful android, or a demon. You can even play an Earth-stranded Tuffle.

We’re a player focused, story focused site which aims to tell great adventure stories, have humorous scenes, and revel in the adventure, martial arts, capsule-punk, wuxia masterpiece that is Dragon Ball, before it became a space alien battle manga. Broken Destiny offers a unique, earth-centric perspective, prioritizing the small, local, player driven actions, rewarding your own personal journey to the west and meaningful character development. Leave the comic aliens at the door, come explore a rich, verdant Earth and the cracks that have appeared due to the alterations of history.

If an Earth-centric, story focused, player focused Dragon Ball site set 400 years after the fall of Piccolo Daimao interests you? Check us out at: DRAGON BALL: BROKEN DESTINY!

About
Weyrwatch is a semi-canon Pern site set at the dawn of the Fifth Pass and the end of the first Long Interval. Thread's 400-turn absence lead to its being forgotten by much of the Pernese, and the emboldened Lord Holders began to focus on expanding and growing their lands. War inevitably resulted among the holders. The conflict eventually spread to the weyrs--with catastrophic results. The reappearance of Thread necessitated the establishment of a shaky truce, but decades of conflict cannot be so easily forgotten. The Pernese must learn to work together once more while facing the effects of war on both human and dragon. At the same time, long-held prejudices are being increasingly challenged by the resurgence of female greenriders.

We feature the five canon colours only (plus white dragonkin), two playable locations (Fort Weyr and a southern camp established by deserters), and no sexuality-based Impressions. Weyrwatch is LGBTQ+ friendly; LGBTQ+ characters and dragonkin are always welcome.

The Past, The Present & The Future

Where am I to post? I don't understand? All will be explained, I promise. In the event of having numerous boards and begging to have this or that. We've opted for the following loose eras but are fluid:

  • The Past is the medieval domain of the Creatures: the vampires, werewolves, and others have kingdoms ruled by their own. The humans either submit to rule or take up with the hunters to try to attack the battlements of the strongholds.

  • The Present is the modern-day world as we know it, where the creatures and most gifted live in hiding or in communities that keep them safe from the Templars and the hunters.

  • The Future is the world of totalitarian government, dirty technology and where controlled borders are the norms. Your life is under their control... all for the greater good, of course.

Updates

  • We'd love to see some fresh faces and meet new friends! No word count, no app... Loads of potential!

  • All member boards are open for your reading pleasure and to get a feel for what we have to offer.

  • A note about "plots" or Era ideas... as long as your creature characters fall in line with the outlines or have contacted the staff about modify, etc. you are free to post as you like. We're an anthology board, dare I say borderline sandbox. Have fun, write, share, it's what we're here for!

  • Time is irrelevant anymore, lol. We have no activity checks for this reason, we're adults, and reality is far more important than posts. Please remember this. We're here for you to take a break with. Stay safe, stay well... AND Post boosts are staying on throughout the summer!!

  • Come take a look! We'd love to see some fresh faces and meet new friends!

  • We're still here and plotting. Come take a look if you're looking for an interesting concept.

  • All fandoms are welcome!

About

In the summer of 1980, the war between the Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix has reached its peak. There have been heavy casualties on both sides, but as of yet, there is no end in sight. The beleaguered Order is becoming more and more desperate to end the fighting before it can spread beyond England and into the rest of the wizarding world. Failure could mean an irrevocable turn for the worse. Pureblood supremacists have been trying for years to pass anti-creature and anti-Muggleborn legislature. They have yet to succeed, but a shift in power to support them would be catastrophic for thousands of magical beings across the UK.

The fate of the world hangs in the balance during a war that some do not even acknowledge. Some prefer to be willfully ignorant because they are not endangered. Some simply don't believe that Voldemort and his Death Eaters exist. But for those who do believe, the past decade has been a time of violence, chaos, and upheaval. The Death Eaters revel in it and do everything in their power to make the wizarding world even more unstable. The Order of the Phoenix has done everything in their power to protect innocent people but many see them as no better than the terrorists they fight.

If the war ever ends, will there be anyone left to pick up the pieces?

The end is only the beginning.

The dark lord is defeated and the wizarding world rejoices. Members of fringe movements are being rounded up and brought to justice swiftly and without prejudice. The attack on Azkaban shakes the wizarding world's newfound peace. Then again, the end is only just another beginning.

About

It was a mild Halloween night. The skies were clear, and the moon shone brightly. A crisp Autumn breeze trembled through the trees. In a quiet house, on a quiet street, a decade-long war was coming to a close. A Death Eater raid meant to kill Neville Longbottom, the boy named in the prophecy, ended instead with the imprisonment of several key Death Eaters, the capture of Albus Dumbledore, and the death of the Dark Lord.

The war was over, and the Ministry of Magic declared the victory as their own. The next few years were spent pursuing and prosecuting both Death Eaters and Order of the Phoenix members alike. The Death Eaters were imprisoned for violently carrying out their archaic beliefs, and the Order members, for being vigilantes acting without oversight or Ministry authorization. Peace and stability would reign again, Minister Bagnold promised, no matter what the cost.

The Azkaban breakout, orchestrated by a secret faction of disaffected purebloods, was the first attack on the Ministry’s promise . Many believed that it would be the first attack of many, and that the war, in actuality, had never truly ended .

Some fear this new reality, already damaged beyond repair from the devastation they witnessed, or in some cases, the devastation they caused themselves. Some close their eyes to it, sinking deeper into the comforting words churned out by the Ministry and the Daily Prophet. Others, still, welcome it, seeing this as their second chance at victory. This time, a victory that would be won on their own terms.
