Néadwraca is a POC-friendly and queer-friendly site set in the original small town of Alfheim in Florida's Forgotten Coast. Faced with the possibility of their species' extinction, some banded together to create a hub of genetic research and manipulation. They're desperately attempting to turn back the clock and restore the Daiva to their former strength and glory - and failure will mean the destruction of the world itself.
“There’s a grain of truth in every myth...”
The Daiva – descendants of the gods themselves – are fading away as the world changes and history becomes legend. Near extinction, three of the oldest and strongest Daiva Families banded together in 1953 to create their only chance to save their species: a town where the citizens are all Daiva. Those who live in Alfheim are required to donate their genetic material for continued research into their special powers, and to marry a fellow Daiva and have children either biologically or through genetic manipulation. The legality and morality of such requirements are hotly contested by some Daiva, but desperate times call for desperate measures. It’s a fight for survival. And outside, the darkness is gathering…
Welcome to Alfheim.
The dark lord is defeated and the wizarding world rejoices. Members of fringe movements are being rounded up and brought to justice swiftly and without prejudice. The attack on Azkaban shakes the wizarding world's newfound peace. Then again, the end is only just another beginning.
It was a mild Halloween night. The skies were clear, and the moon shone brightly. A crisp Autumn breeze trembled through the trees. In a quiet house, on a quiet street, a decade-long war was coming to a close. A Death Eater raid meant to kill Neville Longbottom, the boy named in the prophecy, ended instead with the imprisonment of several key Death Eaters, the capture of Albus Dumbledore, and the death of the Dark Lord.
The war was over, and the Ministry of Magic declared the victory as their own. The next few years were spent pursuing and prosecuting both Death Eaters and Order of the Phoenix members alike. The Death Eaters were imprisoned for violently carrying out their archaic beliefs, and the Order members, for being vigilantes acting without oversight or Ministry authorization. Peace and stability would reign again, Minister Bagnold promised, no matter what the cost.
The Azkaban breakout, orchestrated by a secret faction of disaffected purebloods, was the first attack on the Ministry’s promise . Many believed that it would be the first attack of many, and that the war, in actuality, had never truly ended .
Some fear this new reality, already damaged beyond repair from the devastation they witnessed, or in some cases, the devastation they caused themselves. Some close their eyes to it, sinking deeper into the comforting words churned out by the Ministry and the Daily Prophet. Others, still, welcome it, seeing this as their second chance at victory. This time, a victory that would be won on their own terms.

Bitter Sacrament is a modern fantasy set in San Francisco. We have several supernatural species playable, as well as humans. Currently humans are unaware of the supernaturals, but a group within the supernatural community is looking to change that. We have several canons, wanted ads and group factions!
Bitter Sacrament is a rebranded and reborn modern fantasy site. Having once ran this site and a similar plot for nearly three years, we have brought it back full circle to be run anew with different plot paths, and fresh new ideas.
Life for the humans is wonderfully dull, no magic, no supernaturals, just life. Except the supernaturals are there. San Francisco is a supernatural hot bed, though it something very few humans are aware of. They have lived for centuries among their fellows, not aware that their best friend is a blood sucker or that their neighbor can turn into an alligator at will. It has been a secret for centuries, a secret that Purgatio Atque Vale has ensured is never brought to light. Purgatio Atque Vale, or PAV/Vale as they now go by, silenced the history of supernaturals existence long ago. They've been hunting them and keeping them from the record books since.
Many supernaturals have come to call San Francisco home. Many supernaturals live their life without the interference of Vale, without worry of being ousted for what they are. Their world is chaotic at times, with warring factions in the community, but it is still their world. Most supernaturals are happy with the way things are. They don't want change, they don't want the humans to know they exist. Life is fine without them interfering.
Some supernaturals though, want change, want the humans aware, and will stop at nothing to make sure the world is aware of them. Change is coming whether the humans or supernaturals want it. Time will tell how that change is created, and what the world will look like when it is all over. Whose side are you on?
We are currently in our soft open and are looking to add a few members to our roster to help get things off the ground before our grand opening.
