It's been two years since the founders of the Justice League died at the hands of Vandal Savage. On the first day of the new year, a strange fog began to sweep in over the West Coast. Fifteen days later, the fog thinned and revealed Coast City standing where it was once nothing but ruins.

As the fog moves further inland more strange occurrences begin and it isn't long before the phenomenon earns a name – the Haze. Three weeks after it's officially named people begin to emerge from the gloom. These people, long believed to be dead and gone, return to the newly rebuilt cities as if they were never dead in the first place. But they're older, different, acting as if they had been living their lives this entire time.

Exposure to The Haze induces a powerful sense of déjà vu, allegedly for events that not occurred. Those who have wandered through it have later reported experiencing false memories and flashes of a life they never lived. This is quickly followed by nausea, dizziness, and temporary amnesia. Since this is a fairly new phenomenon there is very little information on the origin of The Haze.

As the Haze steadily closes in on Star City it becomes a race against time to determine what is real and what is merely an illusion

About

The outside world is a place where pollution, war and violence reign. Large cities are threatened by overpopulation, politics have broken down and countries begin feuds over the smallest slights. At the beginning of the Great War, witches came out of the closet to protect their families and to keep their countries safe. They quickly rose to the highest ranks of the military but they were still surrounded by millions of humans who were afraid of their powers and used them as weapons. They leveraged their power, growing stronger over time. Their matriarchal society gained influence, painting themselves as savoirs until it was their holidays that were celebrated and their people that got the best jobs. They still didn’t have their own place.

That was why Fleury Cove was founded generations ago. It has become a haven for Witches to live, train and work together with the premiere magical academy in North America and a state of the art scientific military facility. This is a small town with layers of history and intertwining families, with mysteries around every corner. With secrets lurking just beneath the surface, buried by the founders when things didn’t go their way. Witches and humans aren’t the only ones that live in the Cove and there are people that would kill to make sure the outside world doesn’t find out.

About

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest.

Neverthere is a bustling, large town located near the northern coast of Oregon, at the mouth of the Columbia River. Humans have inhabited Columbia’s watershed for more than 15,000 years, but in all that time they’ve never been alone. There has always been whispers of something darker in the thick, wild forests; something watching. In Neverthere the supernaturals have managed to keep their community and kind hidden. But something old and once silenced is starting to stir...

Our game takes place in the fictional city of Neverthere, Oregon. It is located near the coast of the Pacific ocean. In the growing but small city, the supernatural community has remained hidden thanks to the hard work of the Keepers of the Veil, an alliance of the local supernatural groups. There are a myriad of creatures that live in Neverthere, but the peace held between the covens, packs, and the Council is shaky at best.

Downtown, a shiny chrome building rises above the rest: GENETECH. It's reputation is as clean as its prisitine marbled lobby. The drug developer has been in town as long as Neverthere has been a town. There's more to the pharma giant than meets the eye, though, something else lurking below that sparkling corporate headquarters.

About
CHARACTERS:
Slightly different to other role plays of the same vein, Star Wars: Galactic Conquest allows for players to build and create a faction from the ground up where players may engage in nation building, inter-galactic politics and war.

Alternatively, the player may place their boots firmly on the ground, exploring the living and ever-changing Galaxy through the eyes of a Jedi, Sith, Mandalorian or merely A simple man trying to make his way in the universe.

Saying that...why not try both?

SETTING:
Star Wars: Galactic Conquest takes place in a unique setting within the Star Wars Universe. Our RPG takes place 3000 years after the end of the Skywalker Saga (or the last known date in both canon/legends). The galaxy at large is recovering from a dark age of regression and it is up to you to guide your factions and characters through the ever changing stars. Due to our style of writing and community moderation we have been able to create a special blend of content that mixes the aspects of the much beloved Star Wars Legends with the new Star Wars canon. It doesn't matter which you prefer because as a member of Star Wars: Galactic Conquest you can make it work the way you want to.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR ROLEPLAY:
As an expansive open world sandbox forum-based roleplay the world is very much your oyster (or space gooey oyster thing). With a relaxed community and on-hand moderator support players can make a home here, whether it’s a couple of hours a week after school or work or posting every day.

As a community our emphasis is on shared storytelling and community roleplaying; where live-and-let-live underpins almost everything we do.

Twilight Exigent is a role-playing forum set in the ever-expanding universe of the Destiny 1 & 2 games. With a lightweight point system and player-driven events, we strive to strike an even balance between structured gameplay and an open world setting. There is a focus on original characters - players can start from any faction and be one of six playable races. Canon characters can also be ‘rented’ for threads.

No experience with the Destiny franchise is needed in order to join the site. We've taken the time to detail out the key components of the world in our Lore pages so that new players and older veterans alike can jump right into the forums.

THE CHARACTERS: The site's main plot focuses on Earth's struggle against the Darkness, but other routes are available. In addition to the Human, Exo, and Awoken characters available in the games, players can start out as Fallen or Cabal as well. More character types may be released in the future as the plot progresses.

THE SETTING: Drawing from the lore detailed out in the games, Twilight Exigent follows Destiny canon in most regards. However, we consider the site to be a different world state, and as players continue to collaborate and write with each other, the site's plot may end up going in a different direction than canon.

THE TIME PERIOD: Twilight Exigent officially launched during Season of Arrivals, with the advent of the pyramid ships marking the start of our timeline. In order to let in-game events unfold and give players time to participate in events, the site's plot will progress roughly one Season behind Destiny 2's timeline.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Balance in most things, with a focus on community and character interaction. We strive to have immersive role-play that promotes exploration and contribution, while still keeping things laid back. Here at Twilight Exigent, we want players to feel comfortable creating their own engaging story-lines and contributing to a growing world.

ALDEBARAN is a multifandom role play group, with a setting that is a mixture of drama, slice of life, and science fiction designed to challenge and engage both RPers and characters. We have a robust and energetic community of players and are very player-driven in our lore and storylines. Both original characters and characters from outside media are welcome!

The Aldebaran System is a ring of mini-worlds orbiting a strange central star. Each individual world – referred to as a Sea – boasts its own atmosphere, architectural style, unique environmental biome, and animal denizens. The full ring of Aldebaran Seas is referred to as the Ark.

Daily life aboard the Ark is largely overseen and managed by a handful of charismatic, disembodied, seemingly-omnipotent AI referred to as the "Protocols", as well as an enigmatic entity known as the "Ark Administration". About

WELCOME TO THE ALDEBARAN ARK! PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY.

You find yourself as an involuntary resident of a strange, futuristic series of space stations orbiting an alien red star. You have no memory immediately leading up to your arrival: when you think back to the minutes, hours, day before you arrived, everything is hazy. There is no clear mechanism that brought you here – but you are here. And – whether you think of the Aldebaran Ark as a paradise or a prison, heaven or hell – you don't seem to be leaving anytime soon.

The Aldebaran Ark has drawn individuals from all walks of life to start new lives here, after some fashion or another. Many of these people are from completely different worlds; some who share a world nonetheless are from some other timeline than others, with recollections of differences both subtle and dramatic. The Ark fosters the building of new relationships, the bridging of impossible cultural gaps, and the start of something new.

The rules of the Ark are often strange, whether it comes to legality or reality. If you are so unfortunate as to die, you will wake up again in your bed not long after; if you find the right place to look, you might discover something impossible-- places where time doesn't work as it should, or distances that change depending on which way you walk. And it does seem strange that such a huge red star, so very close, wouldn't burn you all alive.

Explore, adapt, and try to relax. And of course, please remember: do not commit illegal murder.

About

We are a pseudo-spirit/personified panfandom roleplay set in the fictional world of Iwen; we say 'pseudo' due to the nature of our game! Let us explain: here at Reminiscent we play with canons a little differently. Instead of entering the game with your character knowing their story or even wiping their history completely, your canon has been existing within the world of Iwen as if that's all they've ever known... Except it isn't. Their true memories, the knowledge of their world before, is still their story! They've just forgotten it and it's up to you, through participating on-site in posts, collecting coins to spend, winning prizes during events, and more to unlock their true past!

We encourage mingling with other canon spirits not from their canonverse, creating interesting and elaborate families and relationships... The more interwoven their web, the more intense it will be when they do begin unlocking memories. They'll learn their family isn't their family, the friends they had aren't the friends they grew up with, and their lives were completely different. Not to mention that everyone will unlock memories at a different rate, based on their preference and abilities, leaving your canon to potentially be 'in the know' before another and struggling to convince those around them. Come play with us at Reminiscent, where chaos is the default, and unlocking your truth has never been more complicated.

The world has fallen, and the undead have taken over. It's a story we've all heard hundreds of times. For roleplayers looking for a twist on this classic formula, Remnants is the place for you!

Remnants is a forum roleplay in which everyone over the age of 16 has been turned into flesh-hungry zombies. Now, it's up to the children of the world, to rebuild.

This roleplay includes different factions, all of which hold their own space in the landscape of fallen Seattle.

The City Council - As far as these kids are concerned, laws are the backbone of civilization. They live in the Space Needle, and have the power to create forcefields.

The Legion - In direct opposition to the Council, these kids view life as little more than one long battle. They live in Pike Place Market, and have the power to enhance their fighting abilities.

The Pacifics - These kids are split into two factions: Those dedicated to faith, and those dedicated to science. They live in the Pacific Science Center, and have the power of divination. The two factions constantly find themselves at odds.

The Kids of the Pasture - These kids have dedicated their lives to service of a deity whom they call The Core-- a deity who lives at the center of the Earth and who can only be worshiped via planting crops, as the roots are believed to nourish this god. They live in Chihuly Glass and Garden, and have the power to control animals (and, possibly, even humans.)

The Jackals - These kids have no care for law, order, or structure. They are rogues, with only a home base uniting them. They live in the Seattle Central Monorail, and have the power of illusion.

The Boardwalk Kids - These kids are perceived as being incredibly brave, but, despite a perfect-seeming exterior, the boardwalk kids live under the constant fear of being thrown out of their home, if they inspire their leader's ire. They live in the Seattle Aquarium, and have the power to enhance their natural abilities.

These are only the current groups in Remnants. The world is changing, and with a new evil encroaching, everything will soon change. Join Remnants Today!

Original medieval fantasy rpg
Favourite

Peace is such a fickle thing, fragile even, and for the past century it has hung in the balance. One hundred and fifty years ago the beings of Elesya were torn apart by war. Fueled by greed, humans brought on mass destruction at the head of what amounted to years of searching for the ultimate weapon. For two decades they had explored all avenues until they finally learned of the Dragon Gems.

Fiercely guarded by their dragon protectors, the Dragon Gems gave their holders the powers they possessed. There were thirteen gems in total. The only confirmed powers were the four elements (fire, earth, water and air), the winter gem (control of ice and snow), and the shadow gem (the ability to make the shadows corporeal).

The Magi plundered Elesya without restraint to try and take down the powerful dragons, drawing in the other races and kingdoms to a war they originally had no part in. For fifty years the Dragon/Elesyian war raged on until one day, the dragons disappeared, taking their gems along with them. The Magi Council fell apart and humans were not trusted by the other races after wreaking havoc on their lands to try and obtain the Dragon Gems. The Elves secluded themselves to the Sutherlands, the Fair Folk returned to their lands and the humans and magic users founded kingdoms and empires.

Now, after one hundred years of relative peace, the ominous winds are stirring. There are rumors of Dragon Gems return and with them a dark, powerful evil they've never seen before. On the tails of such rumors there are whispers of the Magi Council reforming.

Cavus existed in a constant state of strife between Mortals, Birthless, and The Vagary. Battles were fought using the energies that existed before the creation of the world, and In this war, the world was covered in destruction, decay, and null magic. The God of Balance ‘Elise’ used all of the known magic in the world to defeat a threat to Mortals and Birthless alike. She did it with the hope that it would end all wars once and for all. Instead, it nearly stripped the world of magic, banishing Gods, and Birthless for over 1000 years.

Mortals lived in hatred of one another over those years, warring over resources, pride, and ideologies, and in their hatred they gave birth to the God Eater, and it gave creation to the Vagary. The Vagary battled with mortals in an attempt to conquer them all. The God Eater nearly ruled over all mortals thanks to his creation, but the mortals came together and begged the last known Birthless of the world to grant godhood to a savior, a restorer of magic. Their wish was granted, and magic was returned to the world. Mortals drove the God Eater back into the abyss and reclaimed their lands and freedom.

A century has passed since the defeat of the God Eater, and the stories of battles between gods have faded away into legend and folklore. The world once again finds itself teetering on the edges of war between mortals. Vagary continue to rise from the abyss to bring calamity to all. The cries of the weak go unanswered, and where magic was once abundant for all mortals only half wield it today.

DRAGON BALL: BROKEN DESTINY

Before there were Super Dragon Balls. Before the multiverse. Before the cosmos was the backdrop for the adventures of Goku and gang, there was a single planet, swarming with adventure. Earth. And before Radditz and the Saiyans brought their brand of evil and announced the existence of the Dragon Balls to the universe, there were myriad of stories, enemies, zany mix ups, victories, losses, humor, and unexplored potential. Where the final battle wasn't the purpose of the story, but the journey was, that's where you'll find Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny.

When the Evil King Piccolo tried to take over the world, Muten Roshi sealed him away in a bottle, preventing his evil reign. But what if he didn't? In a world where the Evil Containment Wave failed, and King Piccolo and Master Roshi were mortally wounded, Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny explores what happens in the cracks that became from a world whose story was told differently. What happens when Piccolo Jr. steals a young Gohan, and Radditz saves the day by aiding his brother? What happens when every lost Saiyan was united by a wish on Shenron, no longer lost, scattered, alone, or enslaved? What happens when Kami decides, for the betterment of the universe, that the Dragon Balls should no longer exist? What happens when he makes that decision anyway? The rails of destiny have been destroyed. We live in a time of Broken Destiny.

Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny is a semi-literate Role Playing Game which focuses on the Earth and the factions which struggle to control it in the time 400 years after the failed sealing of Piccolo Daimao. You can play anything from your everyday average Earthling who wants to be the greatest martial artist, to a child of Piccolo Daimao, to a descendant of the great warrior race, the Saiyans or a technologically powerful android, or a demon. You can even play an Earth-stranded Tuffle.

A supernatural role play that takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Favourite

What had once been a small, homegrown operation in the Mid-City district of New Orleans, has since grown into a large and far-reaching organization with locations across the United States. The agents of SCRI—Supernatural and Cryptid Reconnaissance and Investigation—have fashioned themselves the guardians of humanity, the buffer between ordinary people and what goes bump in the night, the protectors against the things that would harm the living. Having successfully worn down the vampire threat that had once run-rampant in their neighborhood to more manageable numbers, SCRI sets its sights on the broader paranormal and supernatural world.

About

They were not always here but managed to insinuate themselves into society almost seamlessly. If not for a particularly annoying band of humans, a higher concentration of the Vampire population would have remained in New Orleans, in Hester. They spread themselves out; those who did not learn to blend in suffered and perished at the hands of SCRI, their nests burned to cinders, and their homes destroyed. They formed bonds based on the hierarchy of ascribed status and have learned, despite the class stratification, the importance of staying together.

They are better than humans; more refined, civilized, cultured, and certainly more intelligent, but for now, they hold their places in the dark, waiting.

However, those at the bottom of these hierarchies recognize the system for what it is, and they aim to change it, to destroy it utterly. Those on the fringes of Vampire society reminisce about the old days of chaos and how, if things were done their way, the right way, they would be set to inherit the earth or at least all of Louisiana.

But there is a rumor, a salve for the ailment of the modern vampire who wants to have it all, the power, the old days of disarray: the Sauria.

Dark Tranquility is an 18+ original supernatural set in a modern day fictional city of Disturbia. A city where supernaturals walk as imitation humans, blending in with society to keep their true identities hidden.

To humans, supernaturals are merely a myth. A legend. Those with a sane mindset doesn't believe in supernatural creatures. They're alien and only exists in fairytales.

The City of Disturbia is rich with businesses, heavy in tourism, overwhelmed in violence, and bustling in the nightlife scene. It's a breeding ground to attract individuals from all walks of life. This includes the fabled supernaturals!

About

It's a Fae World

Supernatural beings are collectively known as "Fae", while humans refer to them as supernaturals, or mythical creatures. Some even work in high profile career positions such as government and law positions to assist in covering up traces and evidence of their existence from humans and their colleagues.

Slavery; The Claim Game

Most humans that end up believing in the supernaturals, or Fae, ends up as slaves to them. Whether by choice from the human, by force from the supernatural, or through the slave trade market, any species of the Fae can claim a human as their pet. Pets are often devoted to their owner(s) typically if they choose to be claimed by a supernatural. A bond is solidified between a Fae and its pet through a pearl stone infused into a piece of jewelry or collar of their choice. This jewelry or collar can only be obtained and enchanted from a witchcrafter.

A witchcrafter's enchanted slave collar or jewelry neutralizes the abilities and powers of any supernatural slave forced to wear it.

Humans who end up knowing too much about the existence of supernaturals could find themselves on the wrong side of the creatures, as it could lead to them being hunted down. As an alternative, these humans are given the option to become slaves where they will be unable to tell what they know to others.

Supernaturals can also become slaves to other supernatural. Like humans, this can be done by will, force or through the slave trade market.

The City of Sex & Sin

Disturbia is a city often named the City of Sex & Sin. Known for it's nightlife scenes, it's red light district vibes, it attract many lusty individuals; from humans seeking out the thrill, to opportunistic Fae looking to take advantage of the eager and the submissive. Disturbia has a rich district of BDSM enthusiasts. Clubs are plentiful where live public sex shows and entertainment exists.

A strong LGBTQ community is also present in Disturbia, attracting human and Fae from many different backgrounds and preferences. No one is off limits in the City of Sex & Sin. Slavery is also prevalent within Disturbia with humans and Fae, whether they are interested in the BDSM scene or not. Some are against their will, and this is typically present in the underground. Most slavery crimes goes unreported for obvious reasons.

Rape, kidnapping, and sexual assaults are also something individuals must keep a look out for in Disturbia. Sex and violence are a constantly rising statistic in the city and with the rising population, that doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.

About

“There’s a grain of truth in every myth...”

The Daiva – descendants of the gods themselves – are fading away as the world changes and history becomes legend. Near extinction, three of the oldest and strongest Daiva Families banded together in 1953 to create their only chance to save their species: a town where the citizens are all Daiva. Those who live in Alfheim are required to donate their genetic material for continued research into their special powers, and to marry a fellow Daiva and have children either biologically or through genetic manipulation. The legality and morality of such requirements are hotly contested by some Daiva, but desperate times call for desperate measures. It’s a fight for survival. And outside, the darkness is gathering…

Welcome to Alfheim.

About

In the summer of 1980, the war between the Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix has reached its peak. There have been heavy casualties on both sides, but as of yet, there is no end in sight. The beleaguered Order is becoming more and more desperate to end the fighting before it can spread beyond England and into the rest of the wizarding world. Failure could mean an irrevocable turn for the worse. Pureblood supremacists have been trying for years to pass anti-creature and anti-Muggleborn legislature. They have yet to succeed, but a shift in power to support them would be catastrophic for thousands of magical beings across the UK.

The fate of the world hangs in the balance during a war that some do not even acknowledge. Some prefer to be willfully ignorant because they are not endangered. Some simply don't believe that Voldemort and his Death Eaters exist. But for those who do believe, the past decade has been a time of violence, chaos, and upheaval. The Death Eaters revel in it and do everything in their power to make the wizarding world even more unstable. The Order of the Phoenix has done everything in their power to protect innocent people but many see them as no better than the terrorists they fight.

If the war ever ends, will there be anyone left to pick up the pieces?

The end is only the beginning.

About

It was a mild Halloween night. The skies were clear, and the moon shone brightly. A crisp Autumn breeze trembled through the trees. In a quiet house, on a quiet street, a decade-long war was coming to a close. A Death Eater raid meant to kill Neville Longbottom, the boy named in the prophecy, ended instead with the imprisonment of several key Death Eaters, the capture of Albus Dumbledore, and the death of the Dark Lord.

The war was over, and the Ministry of Magic declared the victory as their own. The next few years were spent pursuing and prosecuting both Death Eaters and Order of the Phoenix members alike. The Death Eaters were imprisoned for violently carrying out their archaic beliefs, and the Order members, for being vigilantes acting without oversight or Ministry authorization. Peace and stability would reign again, Minister Bagnold promised, no matter what the cost.

The Azkaban breakout, orchestrated by a secret faction of disaffected purebloods, was the first attack on the Ministry’s promise . Many believed that it would be the first attack of many, and that the war, in actuality, had never truly ended .

Some fear this new reality, already damaged beyond repair from the devastation they witnessed, or in some cases, the devastation they caused themselves. Some close their eyes to it, sinking deeper into the comforting words churned out by the Ministry and the Daily Prophet. Others, still, welcome it, seeing this as their second chance at victory. This time, a victory that would be won on their own terms.

About

By Tooth And Claw Dragons, or BTACD, is a very well established, seventeen year old role-play forum in the high original fantasy genre. Located on Jcink, we are rated 3/1/3 and love creative freedom! We have all original lore, from various in-depth worlds to almost eighty species, and offer an immersive universe with endless options for players to make and do. All of our official art is also custom, pieces either commissioned or done directly by site staff. =D

Freedom within the established lore is the major thing on BTACD, and we will work with you to do almost any idea or concept within the vast confines of our lore. If there is a species or subspecies, location, or any other facet of lore you think is missing, suggest it! Member content is encouraged and added all the time, and BTACD is ever-growing. With our focus on freedom, you can make nearly anything: from a big red dragon that breathes ice, or an antisocial demon with a tendency to distort reality, to perhaps a trinket-stealing gremlin with a gift of wind spells - anything is possible.

On the first of every month, we have new content releases - new species, subspecies, legends, art, large lore projects and small. Sometimes, we may do regular forum updates throughout the month, such as new subforums, new important threads, new skins, etc. Always something to look forward to!

Our current plot is two-part; the humanoid Faction of Hope that seeks to drive dragons out of the Realms and take them for themselves, and the snakekind led by an enigmatic beast named Orochi, who seems to be connected to a mysterious prophecy. The to-be-King has been slain, and the Free Peoples of Vystriana struggle to fight the ever-growing threat of the Faction and its serpent allies.

NEW CONTENT:

Here are the new monthly updates! We do lore/content releases on the first of every month, and today is the day for new, shiny things! Take a gander at what we have:

~

New month, new updates!!

You guys might remember this one, but the atlantean subspecies the nabari has gone live! These guys are giant, prehistoric seekers of knowledge dwelling in the deepest depths of the sea. They may surface to study current events, taking the shape of a giant bird of aquatic giant!

As part of our continuing religion expansion, Noctis has been completed! Take a look at the balanced faith of Dualism, the severe Order of Seiten, and the mysterious, chaotic cult of Albanites!

A new landmark has been discovered! Deep in the Millirandian country of Jes're'en, there exists a tree like no other. It's a large, ancient weeping willow who's branches drift in the wind... and the roots that spread beyond its floating chunk of rock reach towards the waterfall below it. Behind the waterfall, secrets await!

We are embarking on a new redux project, now that full species are done! With this, we'll be focusing on subspecies and revamping any that need a lil love (because some are HELLA old). First on the list was the chimera subs, the manticore and nue! These have been fully updated into sapient races, instead of the semi-intelligent monsters they were before. Still scary, though! ;D

PLOT UPDATE!

There has been a timeskip!

The gods held council and made a startling decision: Nina and the Faction have to be stopped, at any cost, no matter what. Thus, they decided to begin working on divine intervention. It's been two months since they dispersed...

Across both Kurai and Felnova, the balance has tipped dangerously. The earthquakes never cease, and the Faction of Hope is splintering beneath its own weight and the fears of those trapped with no way out. While most seek to only stay alive as the two worlds fall apart, Nina moves closer and closer towards her goal.

proud of it. Lately, the love-hate relationship between school and Ministry is

getting rockier, and that's not all that is going downhill...
